How to start services

Have your child’s pediatrician fax a doctor’s referral to (985) 580-9921.

Your child’s insurance benefits will be verified.

You will receive a telephone call to scheduled the developmental test.

The developmental test is to determine if an evaluation is needed for

speech therapy

or

occupational therapy

or

both

The developmental test may last for 1 hour or 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Based on the results of the developmental test, you will receive a telephone call to schedule

a speech therapy evaluation

or

an occupational therapy evaluation

or

both

The evaluation(s) will last for 1 hour or 1 hour and 15 minutes.

When your child qualifies for

speech therapy

or

occupational therapy

or

both

the sessions are once a week at the private practice

Speech Therapy sessions are 35 minutes.

Occupational Therapy sessions are 45 minutes.
